摘要

In order to obtain sintered steels containing manganese and/or chromium with reasonable mechanical properties, high temperature sintering is essential. Such a treatment promotes uniform homogenization of the steel. In the present investigation, alloying additions were made through a ferroalloy route, which is helpful in giving rise to a liquid phase during sintering, particularly for high carbon ferroalloys. Sintering up to 1350 deg C was carried out, not hitherto reported in literature.
