摘要

The relation between the longitudinal stress o and the transverse strain elr during monotonic .tension testing of unidirectional fibre toughened ceramic matrix composites (UD-CMCs) has been studied experimentally and theoretically by yejaauthors, (se,e for example [1-5]). Matrix cracking and interface debonding generally causes e,f to increase or fq-bepome positive. Recently, this has been theoretically explained by a model taking into account the Poisson contraction of fibre and matrix, the redistribution of mechanical stress and ihefeef of residual thermal strain upon damage development, and the built-up of compressive radial stresses at the interface caused by the radial interfacial mismatch after interface debonding and sliding [3,5].
