摘要

The flow/fracture stress and fracture strain of Zr-Ti-Ni-Cu-Be bulk amorphous alloy is negligibly affected bychanges in stress triaxiality over the range sigma sub m / sigma =-0.33 to 0.33 and is essentially independent of superimposedhydrostatic pressure over the range 50-575 MPa. Themacroscopic orientation of the fracture plane relative to the stressaxis was strongly affected by changes in stress triaxiality,suggesting normal stress dependence to the flow/fracture behavior,although little tension/compression asymmetry to theflow/fracture stress was obtained. Experiments over a widerrange of stress statesare underway to resolve this apparentinconsistency. Composition: Zr-13.4Cu-9.9Ti-9.4Ni-4.1Be.
