When referring to visual literacy and how English students respond to artworks, theVisual Arts syllabus provides anopportunity to study artworks throughan authentic engagement with theagencies of the artworld. Englishstudents will be able to enhance theirfocus on viewing artworks as visualtext and develop their knowledge andunderstanding to include a range ofviewpoints and perspectives circulat-ing in the artworld.
