An online art work transaction platform using an online gallery and an operation method therefor are provided. The online artwork transaction platform comprises: a user interface unit connected to a user terminal through a network for transmitting and receiving predetermined information; an online gallery providing unit for providing an artist user or a collector user with an online gallery for online exhibition of the artist user or the artwork owned by the collector user; an artwork transaction mediating unit for providing information about at least one artwork for sale among artworks displayed online on the online gallery to other users and for mediating a transaction of the at least one sale artwork among a plurality of users; a user information management unit for storing information about one or more users, classifying the types of the users into a general user, the artist user, or the collector user to manage the same, and switching the type of the general user to the collector user when the general user purchases the artwork for sale; and an artwork information management unit for storing information about one or more artworks and managing curation information and transaction history information for each artwork as the information about the artwork, wherein the artwork for sale which has been purchased by the collector user from a different user is displayed online on the online gallery, the information about the artwork for sale is provided to the different user, and re-transaction of the artwork for sale between the collector artwork and the different user is mediated.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
