Indian miner Vedanta Resourceswill begin shipping iron ore fines containing54-57% Fe content in the second half of themonth, company officials said Thursday.“We have various mines in the north andsouth [of Goa] and the fines cargoes we areshipping out will be a blend from all themines,” one of the officials told Platts.The officials said Vedanta’s 54% Fe gradematerial would contain typical gangue levelsof 5.5% alumina, 6.8% silica, 0.05% phosphorusand 7% loss on ignition.
