Chinese pig iron output up in September

China's daily output of pig iron in September edged up by 1.7% month on month to 1.76 million mt after the slight declines over the previous two months, according to figures compiled by the country's National Bureau of Statistics. For September, China produced 52.9 million mt of pig iron, down 1.6% month on month but up by the same percentage year on year.
