US met coals are blending in, still finding buyers

Atlantic metallurgical coal markets found some continued appetite for US coals into Europe despite limited activity in line with seasonality and recent preference for spot purchases to focus on Australian coals. Prices may remain under pressure given the gap with Australian coals and as contract tonnage from Alabama was heard to be priced against the prevailing $93/mt FOB benchmark.
