PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing coke for producing coke having high strength, coke produce by the production method, modified coal and modified blended coal in which fluidity as the characteristics of coal is improved, and a method for modifying coal or blended coal in which the modification step for coal performed before the coke production step is simple and efficient.;SOLUTION: N,N'-di-2-naphthyl-p-phenylene diamine is mixed to coal or blended coal used as raw material for coak, and, the coal or blended coal is modified to improve its fluidity upon carbonization.
