Brazilian merchant pig iron export prices stable

Despite persistent low demand, early-June Brazilian pig iron export prices appear to be stable from May. However, a downtrend could be on the horizon, sources said Friday. Bids, offers and deals for Brazilian pig iron assessed by Platts were confirmed by traders and producers in a range of $245- $270/mt FOB for June negotiations - the same as for May.
