German scrap prices reached year low in October: BDSV

The German scrap settlement fell on average some Eur 30/ mt ($38.91/mt) month on month in October, according to the German scrap association BDSV, after two consecutive months of increases. The levels reported by the association were the lowest since the beginning of the year for all grades monitored. The biggest decrease was registered on new arising (E2-E8), which fell by Eur 36/mt to Eur 249/mt ex-works.
