China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) published an access standard for the country's ferrous scrap processing industry Thursday. The standard sets a threshold for new plants in the industry and could help the country's scrap industry develop, sources said. According to a MIIT announcement, key standards include that newly-established ferrous scrap processing plants should have an annual processing capacity of over 150,000 mt with an area no smaller than 30,000 square meters.
