SW China's Chongqing I&S shuts downtown works

Southwest China’s Chongqing Iron & Steel (Chonggang) shut its downtown area steelworks on 22 September, the company says in an announcement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange. The closure marks the completion of Chonggang’s relocation from the city’s downtown Dadukou district to suburban Changshou. The relocation was started in early 2007 to allow Chonggang to expand.
