S&P Global Platts assessed Turkish export rebar at $380-390/metric ton FOB Friday, with the midpoint of $385/mt up $7.50/mt on day. Market sources started to report higher offers as well as stronger bids. A large Turkish producer was reported to have booked 50,000 mt to the UAE at $380-385/mt CIF Jebel Ali on a theoretical weight basis, equating to around $380/mt FOB Turkey. Following the latest deals, the offers slightly climbed to $390/mt CIF UAE, a Dubai-based trader reported.
