Venezuela's hot-briquetted iron prices were higher on the back of lower production, while demand stayed stable, trading sources said Thursday. "Production has fallen off in places like Venezuela due to inefficiency on the producer's side," said a trader based in the UK. According to a Venezuelan source, local producers were having difficulty with their operations, energy issues and the lack of raw materials, especially pellets. "Output has fallen sharply," the source said.
