China plate export prices trend upwards in July

Export prices of China-origin plate gained significantly through July, mostly driven by rises in domestic plate and hot rolled coil export prices. Platts assessed export prices for SS400 12-30mm thick plate at $345-350/metric ton FOB on July 29, indicating a midpoint of $347.50/mt FOB, up by $17.50/mt from end-June.
