Course of Osteodystrophia fibrosa generalisata in a satin guinea pig.

In a 14 months old satin guinea pig Osteodystrophia fibrosa generalisata was diagnosed by clinical and x-ray examination. The guinea pig was treated palliativly with Meloxicam and Natriumrisedronate as well as periodic dental treatment. At the age of 3 years and 10 months the guinea pig died, but necropsy was denied by the owner.
