The medium pH and initial concentrations of reagents (HOOH and NaOH) influence on H_2O_2+HOO~- reaction rate (R_(dec)) has been studied at 298 K using gasometric method.It has been established that R_(dec) has maximum value at pH approx11.25 which corresponds to the H_2O_2 dissociation constant at 298 K.To determine the reaction rate law a new approach has been proposed.It concerns the study of the R_(dec) dependence on the product [H_2O_2]_0 [HOO~-]_0 at constant ratio [H_2O_2]_0:[HO~-]_0=2,and carrying out the measurements only at small conversions.In both cases the medium pH practically remains constant.The content of Fe(II) in the initial peroxide solution determined by kinetic method was 10~(10)
