摘要

In this work the treatment of synthetic wastewaters containing methyl red (MR) by anodic oxidation using Ti/Pt anodes was investigated. Galvanostatic electrolyses of synthetic wastewaters have led to the complete decolourisation removal at different operating conditions (current density and agitation rate). The influence of these parameters was investigated in order to find the best conditions for dyesruff colour removal. In addition, the influence of active chlorine was studied, adding different concentrations of NaCl in synthetic dyes solutions. According to the experimental results obtained in this work, the electrochemical oxidation process is suitable for decolourising wastewaters containing these textile dyes, due to the electrocatalytic properties of Ti/Pt anode. However, the addition of NaCl in solution increased the decolourisation rate due to the production of strong oxidant species by electrolysis process.
