Color television with BS digital broadcasting receiver, 'VIZON'

The BS digital broadcasting system enables the simultaneous broadcasting of two HDTV programs on one BS channel, and a variety of other new services. We developed a new home theater TV, called VIZON, with a IBS digital broadcasting receiver for digital age. VIZON includes a DVD player and a newly developed progressive image converter, so viewers can enjoy BS digital HD pictures (11251) and high-quality 525P pictures. This TV also features a 5.1-ch full-channel surround decoder for DVD and BS digital broadcasting. The main LSIs in the BS digital broadcasting receiver circuit have been newly developed. We also created software to achieve a number of BS digital broadcasting functions, using software resources which we developed for our CS digital broadcasting receivers.
