Color television with CS digital broadcasting receiver, the 'Media Teiou'

The era of digital and multi-channel broadcasting has begun in Japan. The Perfec TV!, the firstcommunication satellite digital broadcasting service, was launched in the autumn of 1996. We havedeveloped an integrated TV set, the "Media Teiou", which can receive current analog TV services,Hi-Vision services and the CS digital services. The TV has a CS digital tuner and a MUSE-NTSCconverter, enabling a viewer to enjoy a great variety of programs with a wide screen picture and highquality images. The CS digital receiver unit provides several unique functions such as high speedchannel selection, smooth scrolling of the electric program guide, and CS pictures with on screendisplay. New audio technology includes the super woofer audio system that creates earthshakingsound to match the visual experience.
