The Brazilian national hydrocarbons regulator,the National Petroleum Agency(ANP),awarded 251 of the 1,134 exploration blocks offered in its seventh hydrocarbon licensing round,that took place last October.The total raised in signing fees was 529.6 million,compared to 220 million last year during the sixth round,when 154 blocks were awarded out of 913 offered.ANP president Haroldo Lima,called the auction a success and praised all the companies that bid for frontier areas.
