Advancing the Use of Composites in the Oil Field

With the need to drill deeper holes and reach farther from existing platforms, designers for oil field components are turning to composites to provide the answers for difficult applications. This paper discusses the advantages of composites as applied to oil field applications. Specific examples are used to illustrate the significant advantages of composites.
