FARM LABOR VEHICLE SAFETY IN CALIFORNIA

The Central Valley is a national hub of agricultural activity. The highways are traveled daily by thousands of farm laborers commuting to and from the fields. Sadly, over the past ten years, hundreds of farm workers have died on the highways in accidents which could easily have been prevented by changes in current farm labor vehicle regulations, safety training and restrictions on farm labor contractors.
