Study: health care workers not sensitive to latex

A study by Asriani Chiu, MD, assistant professor of pediatrics and medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, shows low levels of allergic reactions to latex among health care workers. The study, conducted at three large Veterans Affairs medical centers, found that only 0.6 percent of the workers had an actual allergy to latex.
