BASF has launched a new agricultural R&D centre in Loni Kand, Pune, India. The Pune centre will be dedicated for the global agricultural research on fungicides, insecticides and herbicides, as well as on solutions that go beyond classical crop protection. The investment will create job opportunities for professionals, including farm managers and biologists. The R&D centre will also focus on the country's challenges, including climate stresses, specific weeds and pests, in order to enhance the productivity of the farmers during the entire cultivation cycle.
