Isolated fibular head avulsion -fractures are rare. They may occur with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) or posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) tears, or injuries to the stabilizing structures of the posterolateral corner of the knee. These injuries are treated surgically, especially when associated with other ligamentous injuries. This article describes a new, secure fixation treatment technique using a bioabsorbable screw-type suture anchor.
