Obama examines assistance to control health care costs

Washington - President Barack Obama on May 13 held a roundtable discussion with business leaders to find ways to control health care costs through employer-sponsored wellness programs. Obama met with leaders of organizations who have had success with innovative workplace wellness initiatives, including disease management, smoking cessation programs and health incentives, among others. The organizations claim they have helped workers control chronic conditions and improve their health, thereby lowering health care costs.
