Construction workers accounted for 417,700 of the nation's 4.7 million nonfatal workplace injuries in 2002.Of those,163,700 injuries and illnesses involved days away from work.The construction industry includes workers involved in building construction,road construction and the building of other structures,as well as specialized trades such as carpentry and plumbing.
