MARK VERKUYL STRUGGLED TO compete for quality workers on his Woodstock-area hog farm. He found that the farm he runs with brother Ken and father Tony was a last resort place to work for people, after they'd tried construction of cooking. They also have to compete with the nearby large Woodstock Toyota plant and the Ingersoll Cami Automotive plants for workers. "We find we have a lot of trouble finding good reliable Canadian help." Mark Verkuyl told the Ontario Pork Congress's Gold Event.
