China's post-patent pesticides industry in the spotlight

Chinese agrochemical firm Rotam is putting significant investment in research and development and novel formulations based on post-patent active ingredients. The company currently has a large share of the UK's tebuconazole fungicide market and has started commercialising sulfonylurea cereal herbicides to compete with Dupont. In China, Rotam perceives innovative post-patent products as a growth market.
