Effect of flunixinmeglumine on pregnancy rate in heat stressed Holstein dairy cows, Online J Vet Res, Theeffect of injected flunixin meglumine after artificial insemination on the pregnancy rate ofheat stressed dairy cows was evaluated. Estrus cycles and ovulation of multiparous Holsteindairy cows (n=120) were synchronized the Select-OvSynch protocol for artificialinsemination. Plasma progesterone concentrations showed no significant difference in thetreatment groups versus control group (P>0.05). Presence of corpus luteum in treatmentgroups versus control group was not significantly different (P>0.05). The pregnancy rate influnixin meglumine 10-13 group (20%) was higher than that of group flunixin meglumine 2-5(17.5%) and control (15%), but this improvement was not statistically significant (P>0.05).Flunixin meglumine administration in heat stressed cow, 2-5 or 10-13 days afterinsemination did not improve the pregnancy rates.
