摘要

5-Methyl-2,3-hexanedione dioxime (H_2MHDDO) is proposed as a new sensitive analytical reagent for the separation and extrractive spectrophotometric determination of trace amounts of nickel. The reagent reacts with nickel in the pH range of 7.4 to 8.0 to form a yellow colored 1:2 chelate whih is extracted in chloroform. Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range 0.05 to 5.0 #mu#g ml~(-1) of nickel. The molar absorptivity of the extracted species is 4.640 X 10~3 l mol~(-1) at 330nm. The proposed method is highly sensitive, simple, rapid accurate and has been satisfactorily applied for the determination of nickel in synthetic mixtures, alloys and catalysts.
