Rice-rice sequence was less profitable (Rs.15,313 ha~(-1)) in Bhadra command area, apart from requiring more irrigation water (105 ha, cm). Compared to this, rice-soybean sequence gave higher profit (Rs.18,503 ha~(-1)) with a saving of 35 ha cm of irrigation water.
