An experimental and theoretical study of dynamic-hologram recording in a reversible photochromic medium (PCM) under the condition that erasing is caused by thermal processes is studied. For a stationary hologram, the dependence of the optimum PCM temperature and the corresponding diffraction efficiency of a hologram on the PCM thickness and the average intensity of recording radiation is studied. It is shown that in the case of a hologram of a vibrating object an increase of the amplitude of phase modulation of an object wave causes an oscillatory increase of the optimum PCM temperature and an oscillatory decrease of the corresponding diffraction efficiency of a hologram.
