Based on the self-consistent laser field theory and the numerical experiment within the framework of the fluctuation model, a new mode-blocking mechanism is found caused by the nonlinear frequency shift of the high-intensity signal in a bleaching absorber and a saturable active medium in the presence of a mismatch between the maxima of their spectral bands.
