摘要

Light scattering by fluctuations of the c-director is studied in cells with smectic liquid crystals of the Sm-A~* type. The main attention is paid to the effect of the energy of cohesion of the director field with substrates and Coulomb interaction of polarization charges on the angular distribution of light. It is shown that the intensity of forward scattering depends mainly on the cohesive force, while the width of the angular distribution is predominantly determined by the value of spontaneous polarization.
