Some Questions of Solvatochromy of Doped Nematochiral Systems

A band of selective reflection can serve as an indicator of the state of a doped liquid crystal (LC) system. Expressions determining the spectral shift of the band in nematochiral mixtures are compared with experimental data. A model of the effect of “chiral center blocking” is proposed.
