摘要

A new method of projection of 3D images is considered. A 3D image is recorded at two stages by conventional photographic methods. At the first stage, a system of aspects of the scene being imaged is recorded. At the second stage, the system of aspects is transformed to the system of so-called subaspects. At the projection stage, subaspects are transiluminated with a laser beam focused to point. The beam scans a screen and forms an array of bright points. It is shown that a spectator observing this array sees a 2D image localized on the screen. As an observation point is changed, the configuration of an image presented on a screen also changes and it simulates changes of aspects of the scene taking place in the observation of a real 3D object. As a result, the observer has an illusion that the projected image is three-dimensional. It is noted that the process of screen scanning by a system of scene aspects focused to points is equivalent to the simultaneous screen scanning by a system of independent narrow light beams, each of them projecting its own aspect onto the screen. A vrsion of a display is considered, which reproduces only the horizontal parallaxes of the 3D scene. It is shown that in this case the viewing zone should be expanded in the vertical direction with the help of a 1D diffuse screen. An operating mode of the display is considered in which a scanning beam is controlled by a conventional television signal. It is shown that the display is compatible with the modern television system. An experiment is made, which simulates a display reproducing values of horizontal parallaxes of the 3D scene. A photograph of a speckle pattern formed by a luminous diffuse line was used as a one-dimensional diffuse screen. Some data on the chemical processing of this photograph are presented. The experiment suggests that the 1D diffuser stretches the viewing zone in the vertical direction, but it has almost no adverse effect on the quality of images of aspects projected through it. Moreover, the experiment supported the feasibility of complete elimination of speckles of projected images with the help of small circular translations imparted to a 1D diffuse screen.
