Some Regularities in the Behavior of Cross Sections for Dissociative Excitation

The behavior of cross sections for dissociative excitation of atoms and ions of alkali metals in collisions of electrons with molecules of halogenides of alkali metals is experimentally studied. By an example of the CsBr molecule, the serial dependences for the cross section for dissociative excitation of the cesium atom are discussed. Moreover, a regular behavior of the ratio of cross sections for dissociative excitation of atoms and singly charged ions of K, Rb, and Cs is found.
