Dipole Moment of the E0_g~+-B0_u~+ Transition in an Iodine Molecule

Two-step laser E ← B ← X excitation of an iodine molecule is used to determine of the dependence of the dipole moment of the I_2(E0_g~+-B0_u~+) transition on the internuclear distance. Factors determining the error of measuring this function are considered.
