A highly informative polarization optical method developed earlier by the authors is proposed as a method for the collection and the accumulation of experimental data in optical tomography of the tensor of dielectric constant . It is shown that the restriction typical of polarimetric methods on the whole, and this method in particular, consisting in the fact that they allow one to determine a normalized Jones matrix rather than a complete matrix, is not in actuality an obstacle in their utilization for the purposes of optical tomography. On the basis of measurement data obtained with the method indicated, distributions of five out of six unknown components of the tensor can be recovered.
