Intervening on a strip of land of 800 metres for a width of 55 metres, the project uses Indiana stone of the "chocolate" type, called so for its dark but bright colour and uniform veining, for both a new part of the walkway towards the port and towards the sea to the east, taken from the conversion of pedestrian lane of one of the two pre-existing road lanes, and on the existing footpath to the west, bordering on the urban fabric, This is the point where at the end of the 1800's the fishing "lancets" were docked: the purpose of paving it with dark stone of 20/30 X 100 format is to represent the memory of the site.
