SELECTED STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF BEECH WOOD LIGNIN

摘要

The paper discusses the selected structural characteristics of beech wood lignin (Fagus sylvatica L.),isolated from normal,reaction and opposite wood.The results show that the reaction beech wood contains lower amounts of lignin.Lignin isolated from the reaction wood has lower contents of carbon and higher amounts of oxygen,its relative molecular weight being higher,too,in comparison with the lignin from normal and opposite beech wood.The lowest amount of methoxyls was found in the lignin extracted from the opposite beech wood.
