Well, if you think about Merck and the thousands ofscientists who work there, and the importance of interfacingthem to the many scientific leaders in the academiccommunity, my role is to facilitate those communications,taking the important messages from outside scientists andbringing them into Merck, and vice versa; transmittingthe scientific knowledge that we have out to the scientificcommunity that is beneficial to advancing human health.
