Liquid calories have the potential to be easily consumedand easily forgotten. Research currently beingconducted is attempting to determine how satietycues are affected when beverages are consumed,2 and todetermine if increased consumption of sugar-sweetenedbeverages and the rising rate of obesity are associated withone another.1 Study results remain inconclusive due to physiologic,behavioral, and economic variables.1
