BASF POLYURETHANES AND STOPAQ are joining forces in the offshore industry to serve offshore operators and contractors with an innovative solution for protecting valuable assets against extreme elements. BASF is well known for the Nordstream Offshore Pipeline Project that runs from Russia to Germany, while STOPAQ has built its reputation around anti-corrosion protection of fieldjoints, risers, spools, land/sea pipes and j-tubes, especially in the Middle East (Safaniyah, Manifa and Karan projects). To better cater to the needs of the offshore clients, the two companies are forming a marketing alliance to offer a one-stop shop for the entire corrosion prevention and thermal insulation package.
