HERITAGE OIL PLC posted a US$11.4mn net loss in the first six months of its financial year, including a US$1.6mn loss from the disposal of discontinued operations. Tony Buckingham, Chief Executive Officer, commented: "We continue to assess opportunities to acquire and invest in exploration and early development opportunities throughout the world, with a particular emphasis on our core areas of Africa and the Middle East where we have a strong technical understanding and an established network of contacts."
