摘要

Cellulose fibrous sorbent (Chelest Fiber IRY) functionalized with iminodiacetate was used for the preconcentration of Cd and Cu from aqueous solution.The influence of pH on Cd and Cu adsorption was studied in the 1.0-5.5 pH range.Both metal ions were quantitatively retained on the proposed adsorbent, at pH > 3.5.Up to 25 mL/min,Cd and Cu retention on the adsorbent was not affected by the flow rate of the sample solution.The adsorbent was chemically stable and the adsorption-desorption cycles could be repeated at least 100 times.The capacity (mmol/g) of the adsorbent was found to be 0.9 mmol for Cu~(2+).A preconcentration factor of 200 was achieved.The proposed method could be successfully applied for the determination of Cd and Cu in aqueous samples.
