The EPR technique was applied to the study of bottom sediments in different areas of the Pacific Ocean: in the Okhotsk (the Deryugin and TINRO basins), in the South China Sea (off the mouth of the Mekong River), and in the southeast of the ocean (the Kermadek tectonic system). The measurements of the EPR spectra of the bottom sediments were carried out over a 3-cm range at room temperature. The origin of the resonance signals observed is discussed. Some conclusions were made on the character of the processes of sediment formation in the areas of the pacific Ocean studied.
